Is Square Enix in Trouble? Is Final Fantasy XIV Slipping?
Square Enix’s Q1 FY2025 results show a steep drop in MMO revenue following Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail. With sales down 23 percent and profits off by 45 percent from April to June, both the company and its flagship MMO are facing pressure to turn things around. The next year will determine if this is a temporary dip or the start of a long-term decline.
