On the Eve of Bless;

This week from the

Paradox Gaming Network

First and foremost I hold true to my opinion that retired people shouldn’t ever run.  Walk at a quick brisk yes, but run never. Unless the fabled alcohol truck is driving around your neighborhood.  Or maybe the Taco Truck (yes such a thing does exist). Anyway, I digress, let’s get into some MMO news.

Recovering Fumbles; Fixing Reputation

So Neowiz did a good job this week of recovering from their couple of fumbles.  They managed to release a couple of open letters/Q&As for the community that broke down what went wrong with the Emissary Program and what’s going to be in that Premium Membership (subscription).

I broke all of this down in this week’s video.   Make sure to check out that if you are looking forward to Bless in 8 days.  You can find it here: https://youtu.be/bDwPmDes6u8

What we really need from Neowiz this week is a breakdown of the Lumena conversion and what’s going to be in the cash shop.  If we get those two things we will be in a much better position going into this weekend before launch.

Nothing much this week

I didn’t do much with Ashes this week, mainly because the amount of information we are getting is pretty minimal; and that’s ok.

Nothing really on the horizon for this week for Ashes.  The next live stream isn’t scheduled until 4 June, so going to just put this on the back burner and let it simmer a little.

My most recent video on Ashes is this one:  https://youtu.be/R_jcFLkGZRg which was a highlight of the May store items and then highlights from the May Stream if you missed that.

My FAQ on Ashes is at : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1grKCa1EqsivII5mzsYve1TFc_NS6ucQOSiuH251Mijs/edit

If you are interested in Ashes of Creation, I’m going to shamelessly ask that you register for the game using my referral link (https://www.ashesofcreation.com/ref/Jahlon/)

The reason why is that I will get 15% of all your purchases back, which will give me a bigger pool of money to do giveaways with.   This is quite literally the simplest way to support Paradox. Costs you nothing above and beyond what you pay to the game (sub fee, cash shop purchases, etc) anyway.

Since I didn’t do a video this week, I want to keep the transparency open, the Paradox Gaming Network is up to 105 referrals for Ashes with $204.75 in the kitty, with a couple of outstanding tickets to get cleared up.   So thank you to everyone for all the support.

 Gaming Network News

Still working on that T-shirt design, but I think I’m going to wait until I go to Disney to keep brainstorming ideas since I’m going to that awesome T-shirt design shop at Disney springs and I’ll see a bunch of different visuals.  Granted, they will be for Papa Mouse, but that doesn’t mean I can’t hot swap my own ideas in when I get back home.

I’m also happy to report that the May Sweepstakes is up and it is running. You can enter that here: https://goo.gl/forms/TAEdMdlES3LPzvaE3

1063 for the year

So for subscriptions on YouTube for the year we need 1,063 more subs, and that is the only goal for the year we are going to chase now.  The goal for YouTube is one good quality video a week on something, one good quality video for Ashes of Creation when they release enough stuff to put together a segment, and then one good quality video on whatever is the main game at the time.  So, starting next week the weekly video will be Bless 101, but I also have some videos on the storyboard for Aliens: Colonial Marines, Alien: Isolation, and Final Fantasy XIV.

I love my small shows

Big thank you to all the people who show up for my shows each week.  I love hanging out with a small audience just to talk about different topics.  Means a lot to me that that usual number is getting bigger and bigger each week.

That’s actually my goal to be honest.  I want a good viewer to subscriber ratio.  I know a lot of people want to just see big numbers in their subscriber count, but truthfully I want a solid subscriber count and big viewer numbers.

I’d rather have a constant 50-60 people on the viewer counter and a follower count of 1,000 versus a constant 20-30 people and a follower count of 10,000.  I want real people not numbers.

Join us Wednesdays at 2100 EDT and Fridays at 1300 EDT.

Lucky Number 7

Welcoming Lunachaos to the list of sponsors for the Paradox Gaming Network.  Always appreciative of any support we get because it lets me do more and more giveaways of stuff.  I also laugh because we are at 7 Patrons and $77 per month, which means Simon Phoenix would be proud “Lucky Number 7”.   If you don’t know where that comes from, then I feel really really old.
