Network News

Let’s shuffle things up a little bit.   Going to talk about game stuff first, and then the Paradox Gaming Network stuff at the end.   This is in preparation for enhancing my weekly blog into a video blog as well so people can pick up some bits and pieces of gaming news from me in case they are too busy to catch up.    None of this news will be earth-shattering, no insider stuff, just going to give you a rehash of some other news around the video game world and then some of my own insights.

To begin let us start with our old friend Archeage.

To begin let us start with our old friend Archeage.

Due to some serious errors in the videos I had done on the upcoming 4.5 skill changes I have taken them down.

I'm dedicated to bringing quality information and I need to dial back into the source and do some better research before we discuss those things.

Be on the look-out for these videos to be redone.

Ashes of Creation

Intrepid is finishing up some of their store changes which is always a good thing.   I’m really excited to be able to upgrade my PAX package to the new $500 pack so I can get into the Alpha 1 testing to really show-off this game later this year.

There is this other stuff I want to talk about with Ashes, but I’m going to error on the side of caution for the time being.   If you come to my site, read my blog or visit my channel you know that you can trust me.   And trust me, there is good stuff coming.

If you haven’t registered for Ashes of Creation yet and you want to help support the Paradox Gaming Network, follow this link and register for Ashes.  We currently have 79 people who have decided to support us via this method and we have at least $126 in Intrepid Bucks that we will end up cashing out and raffling off/giving away to players.

Conqueror’s Blade

I will be doing an in depth video on Conqueror’s Blade later this week.   Let me just this time to say that while this game as fun, it is a long way off from being able to release. I’m really hoping they take this Beta test and take a step backwards and slow down the release train.   Be looking for that video later this week.

Fractured - An interesting sandbox game in development

Now onto fresh things.  Even though I’m 100% dedicated to Ashes when it launches, I acknowledge that it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea.  That doesn’t mean between now and launch I’m not going to peek around and see what else is in development.

I stumbled upon a new game in development called Fractured.   A lot of features in it really have my attention.  They have full drop rules as well as different planets with different PvP rules.  Unlike other games that restrict PvP world to servers, in this game you will be able to move between the planets and have to abide by their rules.   Very interesting in concept.

I’m also really stoked about what I see as far as races, because who doesn’t want to have their choice of which flavor of Demon they get to play?   It also has full-loot drop rules so this game is going to be a PvPers dream.

If you want to check it out, I’d kindly ask you to use my referral link so that if access becomes available I can do my Jahlon thing and bring you some footage.

Paradoxical Impressions - A:IR (Ascent Infinite Realm)

Finally managed to squeeze out a little time to put the first Paradoxical Impressions video for 2018 together.  The first game I chose was A:IR.  Sadly I didn’t have any actual gameplay footage to showcase since I’m not in the testing, but I did include some footage from stepharu.  That can be seen here:

Now onto the Paradox Gaming Network Stuff

YouTube - Thank you again

I want to send out a big thank you a second time to everyone who helped me out during that December push to 1,000 subscribers.   YouTube has just released some requirements for the Content Requirement program.   Now you need 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time.  The cool part was the Paradox channel more than doubled the hour requirement but if it wasn’t for the that explosive growth in December we may have been in a spot of trouble.

Not that January 2018 has been a bad month or anything.  We’ve had a very solid month with over 75,000 minutes of watch time and 106 new subscribers.  Those 75,000 minutes represent 15% of what we had all of last year.  That is explosive growth in my book.

Twitter - It really is important

Speaking of explosive growth the Paradox Twitter Page (@Paradox_GameNet) sorta exploded this week with a ton of new followers.

When I first started this project I never thought it would take off, and I never really understood the importance of Twitter.  Let me tell you, if you are trying to do basically anything with Videos or Streaming, you need to be on Twitter.  While my Twitter is still very small, it is generating a somewhat significant portion of my visibility.  Plus, without Twitter I wouldn’t get retweets from Intrepid for Ashes or Trion for Archeage.

So, anyone who is getting into streaming or video making, make sure you get a Twitter account and start your marketing off right.

Twitch - I’m an achievement junkie

Had another really good show this week.  We started off a little slow, but by the end we had one of the most watched shows we’ve had in a long time.  A couple of people got answers to the questions they had, which is exactly why I do the show every week.

Now, did you know Twitch has achievements?  Well they do.  They have a whole long list of achievements for their streamers to accumulate, and for people like me this is horrible since I’m an achievement junkie.

I think I”m going to set my sights on these three for my next achievements:  Reach 200 Followers, Have 25 people chatting at the same time, and Have 50 viewers at the same time.  I think we can accomplish all those sometime in the first quarter of this year.

Check us out on Fridays at 1000 Pacific, 1300 Eastern and 1800 GMT at

Patreon Site - The public disclaimer stuff

So I have the money accessible for the 5 Apex Giveaway, plus or minus some tax paperwork I need to do, which is why getting the Paradox Gaming Network, LLC is the next major goal I’m going to accomplish.  I should, hopefully, be able to knock that out with a few more sponsors and some good YouTube ad revenue.

Anyway, the Apex giveaway is going to go like this.   I have put a clue in the Fortune Cookie video to answer one of the questions on a little scavenger hunt quiz I’m going to put up in the near future (most likely 2 more weeks).  After that, I will give people about a week to register for the giveaway.

Once I announce the winners, it will take me a little bit of time to create characters on all the different servers and hand-out Apex.  In a RNG blessed world some of the people will end up on the servers I already have characters on.
